Nhako Beam terms

Last updated 3 November 2026. These cover the Nhako Beam apps. The website has its own terms.

The licence

Nhako Beam is free and open source. You may use, copy, change and share it under the MIT licence or the Apache 2.0 licence, whichever you prefer. Those licences are the agreement between us. The open source packages it uses are listed in the app under Settings, About, Open source licenses.

No warranty

As those licences say, the software comes as is, without any warranty, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss or damage from using it, including lost files. Nothing here removes a right you have by law that cannot be removed. Keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

What you send

You are responsible for what you send and receive, and for having the right to send it. Do not use the app to break the law or to send anything harmful to someone. Check that you trust a device before you accept files from it, or set it to accept automatically.

Servers we do not run

By default the app uses free public servers run by n0. We do not control them and cannot promise they stay available. If they are down, devices on the same Wi-Fi can still find each other. You can run your own.

Name and logos

The licences cover the code. The Nhako name, the Nhako Beam name and the logos stay ours, so a changed copy of the app needs a name of its own.

Law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If they change, the date above moves. Questions go to nhako.root@gmail.com.
